We are setting up the second phase of our farm community project in Srikakulam.
The farm community project aims to provide a conducive environment for Bhakti, wherein we are away from the distractions of the hellish city life. When we progress in bhakti, we become more attracted to Krishna. More we get closer to Krishna, the more we develop distaste for the material world.
Williom Cowper, an English poet, worte: “God made the village and man made the city.”
We stay here and welcome others to join this farm community not only for the sake of having our own organic food or as an alternative to a dwindling economy, but for the sake of living off mother nature’s gifts where everyone is cooperating to serve Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead. This service spirit further enhances appreciation for mother nature and the Supreme Designer of this perfect arrangement, Krishna.
We protect cows, produce our own food, save time to chant Hare Krishna Maha-mantra so that at the time of death we will remember Krishna. Simple living and high thinking.
Modern education is Spoiling the character of your children. As an alternative to atheistic modern education, we provide Gurukula education. We teach Vedic scriptures, English, Sanskrit, Vedic mathematics, Vaishnava etiquttes, Kirtan, bhajan and help the children to develop into men of fine character. Gurukula education instils self control, mind control, senses control and inculcates truthfulness, cleanliness and tolerance. The children learn simplicity, develop true Knowledge for practical application in life and above all grow with total belief in existence of God – samo damas satyam saucam titiksa arjavam eva ca, jnanam vijnanam, astikyam.
We will develop the village community so that the people from the cities will rush to live in villages. We seek your support for this auspicious mission.
“Indeed, millions will join our farms in the future – Srila Prabhupada”
